Watching Dove Farms recently on YouTube, Richard Dove has been raving about the benefits of an autumn application of Bioplex Mn, to boost the crop growth, help with overwintering and aid the uptake of the ‘Centurion Max’ herbicide used to remove the volunteer barley from his Winter Oilseed Rape crop.

As a user of Micromix Bioplex Mn for 6 years, Richard comments that he now routinely adds Bioplex Mn biostimulant to the tank mix as a matter of course for nearly all of his crop treatments. Shown in the video from 13 minutes onwards. Richard has added Bioplex Mn to his autumn Centurion Max herbicide application on his Winter Oilseed Rape to ensure he has a healthy crop ready for overwintering and to get past any flea beetle pressure.

In Richard’s words the Bioplex Mn ‘stimulates the volunteer barley to help the Centurion Max graminicide do its job and push the Oilseed Rape forward’ at this critical weed control and early plant establishment stage. As well as an excellent biostimulant, the Bioplex Mn also provides the Manganese the crop requires being on a sandy loam soil. With 1-1.5ltrs / ha typically doing the same job as 5ltrs / ha of standard 15% Manganese Sulphate and reduces the need for follow up applications.

The biostimulant portion helps crops withstand and recover from stress but also aids the uptake and efficacy of the Manganese nutrient portion for early season vegetative growth and vitality. Moreover, we have seen that the AMIX technology has been proven to improve both fungicide and herbicide efficacy through stimulating metabolism in the host crop plants to get over the pathogen attacking it or in the case of target weeds metabolising the herbicide into the poison that kills it.

Bioplex Mn will tank-mix with pretty much all pesticide mixes, with excellent physical and biological compatibility, often calming complicated tank mixes down, as is one of the main observations made by Richard in his video. Application rates:

1 – 2 Ltrs/ha in 100 to 200 Ltrs/ha water.
